UPDATE: So, I was a smidge wrong on this one – I’ll be the first to admit it. There was in fact a playable Star Fox on the show floor, just not the one I was tipped on.
It’s the return of Mofo’s Rumor Report! Just kidding… or am I? This one is just too hot not to talk about! DigitalNipple’s can all but 100 percent confirm that Star Fox is heading it’s way to the Wii. Don’t believe me? Check out this tease from the latest Nintendo Power:

Now that the cat is out of the bag, DigitalNipples is happy to report that Star Fox Wii will be showcased during Nintendo’s E3 presentation, playable on the show floor, and is scheduled to arrive on the Wii just in time for the Holidays. And don’t worry Star Fox Adventure haters, you won’t be disappointed!
And again, just to clear things up – The Nintendo Power tease was just supplemental information that didn’t pan out. Star Fox Wii is coming.

You’re sure? I mean, did you get any info other than what you saw on that image? Not trying to be combative or anything, it’s just that what I fear is it’ll be more Metroid Other M, as she’s shown up in space before.
Still, I must admit, the fact that they didn’t even specify what it will be, leads me to believe that you guys are on to something. Fingers crossed.
Ah, nevermind. I forgot, it was that shitty Sonic Colors that was revealed as the “space title”. God dammit Nintendo…… more and more I’m finding that Wii may very well be the last console of yours I own.
Just a small update – Nintendo Power did cop out with the Sonic Colors cover, but I’m still putting my money on the Star Fox revival (Nintendo Power’s tease wasn’t the original source of this story, it was just given as possible proof). E3 is just a few weeks away, so we’ll find out soon enough.

actually sonic colors is only coming out on the wii and ds. so yes it is exclusive

It’s not Star Fox, I just got the newest issue in the mail. (I’m a subscriber.) Still, you never know if a new SF game is secretly in the works.
Star Fox Command for DS came out of the blue.
Still, I’m not getting my hopes up for it to appear at E3 personally.
I can’t wait for this new Star Fox! I’m such a huge fan of Star Fox and I’m dying to have a Star Fox for the Wii! And I don’t care if most fans think if this game is a disappointment to them, I’ll still want to get this game. I have high hopes for this.
so we get a re-issued StarFox 64 for the 3DS… StarFox 64 was awesome, and it having 3D support will be great, but i think i speak for many starfox fans when i say i’d rather have a new game that’s BASED ON starfox 64, instead of a direct re-hash.
What is Leon doing on the Star Fox team? He’s Star Wolf’s amoral killer.
Besides, Command left lots of possible possibilities as to the future of the Star Fox team. Which one will they take?
Besides, we probably won’t see much of Slippy, because he has to stay home to help raise the kids with Amanda.
As for Falco, who knows? Former gangbanger, abandoned SF on multiple occasions, but always came to the light at the end.
And what Star Fox game (besides Adventures, which I personally hate) doesn’t feature Pigma? He died in the coursae of Assault. And if Leon is part of Star Fox, Pigma is dead, and Oikonny too, who will fly alongside Wolf in Star Wolf? (Besides Panther. Two pilots does not a squadron make.) Peppy is gone to command the Cornerian Army, Falco cannot be predicted, Slippy is married and has to raise kids, so all that’s left is Fox, Krystal and Leon, and possibly Falco.
On the other hand, that might make an interesting premise for a game, but I am not looking forward to it until I get hard proof that it ties up everything nicely.
leon joined starfox? when? as for wolf and panther… perhaps they’d follow leon and join starfox as well…
