All jokes aside, Elvis was an amazing performer. Since Elvis Death Day is almost over, I thought I’d post one final tribute to the King of Rock and Roll – this heart touching version of “My Way”

Thanks again for tuning in to Elvis Death Day today – we’re now only 364 days away from next years edition!

Another random Elvis Death Day fact – Elvis hated The Beatles. The reason why? According to White House documents, Elvis went on record stating it was The Beatle’s anit-American attitude that turned the King sour on the fab four.

During Elvis’s meeting with President Nixon he stated multiple times that he wanted to help the President turn around America’s youth. Elvis was quoted saying “The Beatles made their money off America and ran back to Liverpool”.

Elvis wasn’t only the king of rock of roll, he was a karate master.  Multiple times he boasted his 8th degree black belt status and here is the video proof of his awesome-ness.

In his final days, Elvis was notorious for ranting on stage about random topics.  Ladies and gentlemen, this may be the best one ever put on tape… to quote The King “It will fascinate you”

He first starts out doing a goofy Fat Albert impression, talks about getting a girl pregnant with a camera, then goes on a “strung out” message that is beyond epic.  Enjoy!

Elvis has a obsession with police badges. This uncontrollable urge to lay down the law lead to perhaps the most famous Elvis photo of all time – his meeting with President Nixon.

Michael Jackson wasn’t the first pop star to own a banana eating best friend.  Elvis pioneered monkeying around with his pet Scatters the chimpanzee.

Elvis lovingly nicknamed Scatters a “coconut headed mother f#$ker” for his partying ways… stories of Scatters surprising people in the bathroom, going crazy and even lifting up girl’s skirts are littered all over the internet.  This was one monkey who knew how to have a good time!

Elvis Aaron Presley was famous for many things: an amazing live performer, a lively actor, a generous friend… but perhaps Elvis’s greatest accomplishment was that fact he had almost a super human ability to eat large amounts of food in single sittings.

Elvis’s favorite snack?  Surprise, it wasn’t a peanut butter and banana sandwich… it was actually the Fool’s Gold sandwich – a tasty concoction that consisted of the following: 1 loaf of white bread (slightly toasted), 1 pound of bacon, peanut butter and almost a whole jar of grape jelly.  Here’s what this 6,000 calorie masterpiece looked like -

Merry Elvis Death Day!  Today, 33 years ago, we lost perhaps the greatest performer of all time… and he was darn goofy too!  We here at DigitalNipples fly our Elvis flag high and plan on updating all day today with random Elvis facts/stories that are sure to tickle that funny bone.

R.I.P. King

First up?  The TCB oath.  Elvis handed out this oath to his close network of friends, aka the Memphis Mafia, along with a gold TCB bracelet.  The TCB logo is an Elvis original, but was inspired by Elvis’s favorite comic book hero, Captain Marvel.  Elvis, who at the time was a paid for black belt kung fu master, came up with this oath on his own…
