Samus in Dead or Alive Dimensions
The intergalactic bounty huntress might be sitting out the initial 3DS launch lineup in her own adventure, but all signs are pointing to a guest shot in Team Ninja’s Dead or Alive Dimensions.
This recent trailer popped up on YouTube showcasing an all too familiar setting and a classic foe and Metroid co-star, Ridley.
Could a playable Samus be far behind? Full armor, Zero Suit, NES Bikini… whatever Team Ninja chooses, we’re in!
UPDATE – EuroGamer.com reports that Samus will not be playable in Dead or Alive Dimensions. Only the above featured stage will make a guest appearance.
3DS Day Part 2 – Electric Boogaloo?
Nintendo World came and went, and with little to no new information on the Nintendo 3DS coming out of the event (other than a downright inexcusable battery life) it looks like this Wednesday will be make or break time for the upcoming 3D handheld…
Who are we kidding?! The Nintendo 3DS is going to be huge, no matter what Nintendo announces on Wednesday. Here’s a rumor coral of what to expect, along with our own side bets:
- Metroid 3DS – Twitter is on fire with a rumored Metroid 3DS announcement based on a few tweets by euro-mega host Jonathan Ross. Our money is on that Nintendo has enough to announce and after the flop Other M, it’s a little to early for another Samus outing. Odds of happening 388 to 1
- Mario 3DS - Sure there’s Mario Kart and Paper Mario, but everyone’s favorite Italian plumber has not had a proper introduction yet… and again, our bets is that it will stay that way until at least this summer. The Wii proved Nintendo doesn’t necessarily need a union card carrying guido at launch so do expect one, capiche? Odds of happening 64 to 1
- Virtual Console - This is DigitalNipples pick of the week. A Virtual Console announcement is a lock. It’s the one piece of information that will be executed at launch but has been kept under a veil of mystery. Don’t expect a huge amount of titles shown though, this is Nintendo we’re talking about. Odds of happening IT’S A LOCK
- $199 - The always mysterious price point. Again, it comes down to where Nintendo has tracked the last few years and while everyone expected a $199 price point for the Wii at launch, $249 was the magic number. There’s no other technology out there to compete with so start saving now – $249 is the price. Odds of happening 249 to 1
Tune in this Wednesday for the full scoop… and remember, please play responsibly.
Rumor Report – Dead Nation 3D?
We nailed Heroes on the Move, and this hot rumor comes from the same source so we’re biting… the upcoming PSN exclusive top down shooter Dead Nation will be the next high profile PlayStation 3 title to feature 3D.
This rumor really is no surprise, the team behind Dead Nation also created the 3D enabled shooter Super Stardust HD. It will be interesting to see if the game’s 3D features will ship day 1 or will be a downloadable update similar to other PlayStation Network titles.
Stay tuned for more info and you guessed it – the DigitalNipples PlayStation 3 3D Games List has been updated!
Sony’s Smash Bros. Killer?
Twas the night before E3, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a… Lombax?
Tonight’s rumor report is HOT HOT HOT. DigitalNipples isn’t entirely sure what the genre will be, but word on the street is that one of Sony’s surprise E3 titles will be a mascot mega game starring characters from Rachet and Clank, Jak and Dexter, and the often neglected Sly Cooper!
All three of the above pictured mascot’s makers have moved on to bigger and better things, so it will be interesting to find out which dev team will be working on the proposed mash up. Expect more information this Tuesday – and remember, you heard it here first!
Mofo’s E3 Rumor Report!

Nintendo’s E3 Plans
It’s well know that the house that Mario built keeps all their secrets about as close to their chest as humanly possible… so let’s expose those digital nipples right here and now and let the cat out of the bag – the 3DS is going to be huge.
